About Salary day countdown

Choose the day of the month your salary is paid, from 1 to 31 or "Last day of the month", and this page shows your next payday with its weekday, how many days are left, and a live timer in days, hours, minutes and seconds to midnight at the start of that day, Kuwait time. Below it is a table of paydays for the next 12 months, each with the number of days remaining.

Many employers pay on the last working day before the weekend when payday falls on a Friday or Saturday. An option, switched on by default, moves the payday to the previous Thursday in that case, and the table marks such dates with a *. The date can even move into the previous month: if you are paid on the 1st and 1 January 2027 is a Friday, the payday becomes Thursday, 31 December 2026. In months shorter than your chosen day, the last day of the month is used. Public holidays are not taken into account, and your choice is saved in your browser for next time.

Why use it

  • See at a glance how many days are left until your next salary and which weekday it falls on.
  • Optionally move weekend paydays to the Thursday before, as many employers do.
  • A 12-month payday table helps you plan bills, rent and instalments.
  • Short months are handled for you: the 31st becomes the last day of the month.
  • Runs on Kuwait time and remembers your choice in your browser, with no sign-up.

How to use

  1. Pick your pay day

Choose the day from 1 to 31, or "Last day of the month" if you are paid at month end.

  2. Set the weekend rule

Leave the option on if your employer pays on Thursday when payday falls on the weekend, or turn it off if you are always paid on the same date.

  3. Read the result

Your next payday and the days left appear, with the live timer underneath.

  4. Check the table

Look over the coming months; a * means the date was moved earlier because of the weekend.

Examples

Paid on the 25th

On Friday, 30 October 2026, with the 25th selected, the next payday is Wednesday, 25 November 2026, 26 days away.

Paid on the 1st

With the 1st selected, the next payday is Sunday, 1 November 2026, in 2 days. In January 2027 the 1st is a Friday, so the table shows Thursday, 31 December 2026 with a *.

Paid at month end

With "Last day of the month", February 2027 pays on Sunday the 28th. 31 July 2027 is a Saturday, so that payday moves to Thursday, 29 July.

It's payday

When payday is today, the page shows "Salary day is today!" and hides the timer; the next day it starts counting to the following month.

Tips

  • Ask HR what your employer does when payday falls on a weekend, then set the option to match.
  • Public holidays such as Eid are not counted, so in practice you may be paid before them.
  • Use the table to schedule bills and instalments for the day after payday.
  • The money may reach your account a few hours later depending on your bank; the timer counts to the start of the day.
  • Your choice is stored in this browser only, so pick it again on another device.

The tool never asks for your salary or any personal data. It runs in your browser and stores only your chosen pay day and weekend option in your browser's local storage.

Frequently asked questions

How many days until payday?

Pick your pay day from the list and the page shows the days left, the date and weekday of your next payday, and a live timer.

What if payday falls on a Friday or Saturday?

With the option on, the payday moves to the previous Thursday. With it off, the date stays as it is.

Why does January's payday show a December date?

Because the 1st fell on a Friday, so the payday moved to the Thursday before, the last day of December. It is listed under January with a *.

What if I pick the 31st and the month has 30 days?

The last day of the month is used instead: the 30th, or the 28th or 29th in February.

Is the 31st different from "Last day of the month"?

The result is the same, since short months fall back to their last day either way. "Last day" is just clearer if you are paid at month end.

Are public holidays included?

No, only the Friday–Saturday weekend. If payday falls on a public holiday, your employer may pay earlier.

Which time zone is used?

Kuwait time (UTC+3). The timer ends at midnight at the start of payday.

What does the * in the table mean?

It marks a payday that was moved earlier because the original date fell on a Friday or Saturday.

Does the page remember my choice?

Yes. Your pay day and weekend option are saved in your browser's local storage and restored next time on the same device.

Do I need to enter my salary amount?

No. The tool only works out dates and never asks for an amount or personal details.

Can I use it outside Kuwait?

Yes, if your weekend is also Friday and Saturday, but the countdown itself runs on Kuwait time.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free, with no sign-up, on phones and computers.
