How to remove specific pages from a PDF
A PDF often contains pages you do not want to send: a blank page from the scanner, a duplicated cover, a page with internal details the recipient does not need, or long appendices at the end of a report. Instead of rebuilding the file, this tool lets you type the numbers of the unwanted pages and get a new copy without them straight away.
It runs inside your browser: the file is opened, the selected pages are removed and the edited copy is saved to your device, without uploading anything and without touching the quality of the remaining pages. Your original file is not modified; the result is always a separate new file.
How to use it
- Open the file in any PDF reader and note the numbers of the pages to delete.
- Drag the file onto Drag PDF file here, or click to choose it.
- In Page numbers to delete, type the numbers separated by commas, for example 1,4,9.
- Click Delete pages.
- The new file downloads automatically as edited.pdf.
How to enter page numbers
- Numbering starts at 1 and follows the page's actual position in the file, not the number printed on the page.
- Separate numbers with commas; spaces are ignored.
- Numbers larger than the page count are skipped.
- Ranges such as 3-6 are not supported here; type each number: 3,4,5,6.
- Do not repeat a number, as duplicates can cause an extra page to be removed.
Practical use cases
- Removing blank pages a scanner added when scanning single-sided documents.
- Deleting an internal pricing page from a sales deck before sending it to a new client.
- Dropping repeated terms or advert pages at the end of an invoice or statement.
- Trimming appendices from a large file so it fits an upload size limit.
Tips and notes
- Check the result before deleting the original or sending it, to confirm the right pages are gone.
- If you are removing most pages and keeping only a few, it is easier to use the extract tool and list the pages to keep; it supports ranges.
- Remaining pages are renumbered, so do not reuse the old numbers if you edit the new file again.
- Password-protected PDFs may not open in the tool.
To keep only selected pages, try Extract PDF Pages. To break a file into parts, use Split PDF, and to shrink the file afterwards, use Compress PDF.
