Islamic tools

This section collects tools for acts of worship that involve some arithmetic or tracking of the Hijri calendar. The zakat calculator takes the cash value of your money and gold and works out zakat at 2.5%, which is due once the total reaches the nisab and a lunar year has passed. The Zakat al-Fitr calculator multiplies the price of one sa' that you enter by the number of people in your household.

The prayer times tool calculates Fajr, sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha for your current location right in the browser once you allow location access, without sending your coordinates to a server. The White Days counter shows when the next 13th, 14th and 15th of the Hijri month fall and how many days are left, for anyone who fasts those days.

Treat every result here as an estimate meant to make the calculation easier. For more involved cases such as trade goods, debts or mixed assets, and for any inheritance division, check with a qualified scholar or an official fatwa authority before relying on the number. Prayer times may also differ by a few minutes from your city's official timetable because methods vary. If you need to convert dates between the Hijri and Gregorian calendars, you will find those converters in the conversion tools section.
